Uploading Your Own Media Assets

1. Navigate to the Media Library from the Studio Editor.
2. Click on the upload media icon next to the search bar and select ‘Upload from Computer.’
3. Browse for the assets on your computer and click ‘Open.’ Please note: for the best experience keep video clips under 5-7 minutes in length. For a video any longer you can expect a long wait time and Wochit cannot guarantee the success of upload.
4. The privacy settings drop down menu will appear, prompting you to decide on sharing settings, name, description and tags.
5. Click ‘Upload.’
6. You can find the asset in your ‘My Uploads’ folder in the Media Library, along with  uploads added by other members on your production line. You can also upload assets here within the Media Library by dragging and dropping them from your desktop to the platform. 

Another shortcut is to upload an asset by clicking the Upload button next to the search bar, and choosing a file from your computer.

Note: Wochit does not own the rights to videos you upload from your computer. By uploading a video or image to the system you take responsibility to use and credit as you see fit under fair use guidelines.

Fair use is a legal doctrine that says you can reuse copyright-protected material under certain circumstances without getting permission from the copyright owner. Works that create new meaning for the source material may be considered fair use.
