Who is the King of Digital Media Types?
As we move further into a Youtube, Snapchat, and Vine-driven video world, it becomes more important for video creators to think about WHAT they’ll create instead of simply HOW they’ll create. Some of the most fascinating Youtube and Vine creators are making videos that focus on funny and real life situations – either analyzing what’s happening in the world today (news) or creating situational comedies in tiny bite size six second videos.
So what should you focus your content and digital media on?
wochit’s head of EMEA, Christoph Pleitgen, moderated a thought leadership panel this month at the GEN Summit, in Barcelona, titled New Video Formats – What’s Working and What’s Not. Experts from Spiegel Online, France24, and BBC News highlight the highs and lows of coming up with online video formats that work.
“I think up until about two years ago we were pretty much clipping telly and putting it online, and we have found out that that doesn’t work at all,” explained Inga Thordar, editor, BBC World News.
