We’re very pleased to announce two new content deals that will expand access to high-quality assets to all of Wochit’s customers. A multi-year exclusive agreement with Getty Images, the world leader in visual communications, will give our users real-time access to content generated by Getty Images’ global network of over 200,000 contributors. And a new partnership with Fresco News, a network that connects mobile journalists to newsrooms worldwide, will bring Fresco’s vetted library of crowdsourced news content to our library.
In expanding this partnership that has been in place since 2012, Getty Images will provide mutual customers seamless access to pre-negotiated asset libraries, in addition to unrivaled premium creative content for all Wochit customers, via the Getty Images API.
The content from Fresco’s 130,000-plus mobile journalists offers our users access to up-to-the-minute video and images from sources all across the globe. With Fresco’s mobile journalists on the scene in an instant, publishers can utilize their content to cover stories as they unfold and engage with audiences with the most timely content available.
These new partnerships with Getty Images and Fresco News are just the latest move in our dedicated efforts to supply publishers with the richest collection of timely content and most powerful editing tools to support rapid video creation. In just the first quarter of this year, we’ve also established deals with AFP, China Central Television’s CCTV+ and Xinhua News Agency and also rolled out social integration features into our always-expanding asset library.
Our customers produce over 30,000 videos every month. With these new partnerships, they will be even better equipped to produce exciting original content for their audiences around the world.
